Maple Cinnamon Apple Crisp
Maple-tossed cinnamon apples under a golden oat and pecan topping. Simple ingredients, big autumn flavor — best served warm with vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients
- Filling: 6 apples, peeled and sliced
- Filling: 2 tbsp maple syrup
- Filling: 1 tbsp brown sugar
- Filling: 1 tsp cinnamon
- Filling: 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- Filling: 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Filling: 1 tbsp flour
- Topping: 1 cup rolled oats
- Topping: 1/2 cup flour
- Topping: 1/2 cup brown sugar
- Topping: 1 tsp cinnamon
- Topping: 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- Topping: 6 tbsp melted butter
- Topping: pinch of salt
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the apples with maple syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and flour.
- Spread the apples in a lightly buttered baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, pecans, salt, and melted butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the topping generously over the apples.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, until the topping is golden and the apple filling is bubbling.
- Let it rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of maple syrup. Make it cozy, make it yours.
