Ginger Honey Hearth Syrup
A cozy cottage remedy for tea, biscuits, and chilly mornings. A spoonful of warmth from the cottage hearth.
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup honey
- 1 large knob fresh ginger, sliced
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a small pot, combine water, honey, ginger, cinnamon, and salt.
- Simmer 12–15 minutes until fragrant.
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and let steep 10 minutes.
- Strain into a jar.
- Store in the fridge up to 2 weeks. Serving Ideas: • Stir into hot tea • Drizzle over scones • Add to oatmeal • Mix with sparkling water
